The way I think about engineering, leadership, communities, and systems is, in many ways, an extension of that inheritance.“

- Do not rush to solve the first visible symptom. Clarify the real challenge, purpose, and consequences.
- Understand the people.
- Listen to end users, stakeholders, operators, and communities. The people closest to the problem often see what others miss.
- Design the right system.
- Outcomes are produced by systems. Intentionally design ownership, incentives, communication, decisions, and feedback.
- Build exceptionally.
- Execution matters. Bring technical excellence, craftsmanship, discipline, and care to the work.
- Measure what matters.
- Use data to inform decisions, learn from reality, and improve the system—not merely to prove success.
- Leave something worth inheriting.
- Consider the people who will live with what you build. Make decisions that create lasting value for current and future generations.
